Anxiety Reduction Via the Hammer
HAMR can be used to combat anxiety. As in every case where you are specifically targeting some situation you will begin by learning the basic system and working your way through the exercises. Very often, the problem you are looking to solve will be crushed by the standard Exercises located in the Workbooks section.

The first thing you should do is to study the instructions for the Hammer. Do all of the preliminary exercises to build your mental foundation and get acquainted with the system. That will get you started in developing the solid thought foundation upon which to build. They will also provide you with new perspectives that allow you to spot positive solutions more readily.

When the anxiety relates to dealing with people, as so often it will, the best strategy is to work with Sameness Hammers.

If it is a phobia of some kind you may be able to reduce the problem by simply reinforcing thoughts of safety as per the situation. If that does not work you will need to become involved in some of the more advanced HAMR tactics.
